The Mel-O-Chords
The Mel-O-Chords is a dynamic vocal ensemble based in Montclair, New Jersey. The group was founded in 1968 as a committee of The Montclair Operetta Club, a non-profit organization, now known as M.O.C. Musical Theatre. We are a group of volunteer singers of various ages, backgrounds and experience. Our repertoire includes selections from musical theatre, American standards and contemporary pop compositions. We present several concerts throughout the year and are available for hire to perform at fundraisers, civic, corporate and private events.
Notable performances include: Merkin Hall in New York City; First Night Montclair; Liberty State Park; The Paper Mill Playhouse; May in Montclair and telecasts on New Jersey Channel 10.
